How much do driving lessons cost?
Each instructor sets their own hourly rate, so prices vary. You can see every instructor’s rate before you book, with no booking fee added on top. Newdryve is free for learners: you pay your instructor for the lesson and nothing to us.
How do I book a lesson?
Open the app, browse verified instructors near you, and pick one or several slots from their real availability. Booking takes under 60 seconds. You need a valid card saved to your account before you can book, but nothing is charged when you reserve a lesson.
Is Newdryve available in my area?
Newdryve is live in Norwich and the surrounding Norfolk area, including Thorpe St Andrew, Hellesdon, Sprowston, Costessey and Wymondham. We are expanding across the UK from there. Join the waitlist and we will tell you when we reach your area.
How do I pay for lessons?
At the end of each lesson, your instructor chooses whether to take payment by cash, bank transfer or your saved card through Stripe. Newdryve does not charge learners a booking fee or platform fee.
What happens if I need to cancel?
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the lesson, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel within 24 hours, 50% of the lesson price is charged to your saved card through Stripe and sent to your instructor. Newdryve takes no commission from that payment.
Are the instructors qualified?
Every instructor’s current DVSA registration is checked before their profile goes live. DVSA requires criminal-record suitability checks for ADI registration and renewal. You can also see their experience, specialisms and coverage areas.
